About Ken Meek
Ken Meek, CHMM, CET, CIT President of L.A.M., has nearly 30 years of overall experience in emergency response and training in the United States and Internationally.
Ken Meek's experience
13 years at the Emergency Response Training Center (ERTC) in Pueblo, Colorado. While at ERTC he was an Instructor. Senior Instructor, and Operations Manager for the training facility. He was Manager of HazMat Services, which had responsibility over the ERTC and the Bureau of Explosives (BOE). While at ERTC Ken redesigned the Highway Emergency Response course, which became one of the most popular training courses at ERTC. He is the author of one of the most popular class requested by contractors He wrote the course module on Grounding and Bonding in a emergency response transfer.
12 years experience in the trucking industry where he was employed by one of the largest bulk carriers in the United States. In conjunction with his response and training background, he also brings his knowledge and experience as a Colorado State Patrolman.
He is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credentials earned through a rigorous and comprehensive certification examination process from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) and accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB). Ken is also a Certified Environmental Trainer (CET) and a Certified Instructional Technologist (CIT) certified through CET Board of Certification. Click here to see Ken's CET certification.
Ken is also a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Rocky Mountain Association of Environmental Professionals, Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP) and the Rocky Mountain Chapter of CHMM's.
